[Concert Review] Rolling Quartz Shows What it Means to Rock Out in DC

Five-member K-rock band Rolling Quartz made their stunning comeback to D.C.’s Karma venue with their “My Turn” 2026 North American Tour. Setting the stage in Washington, each member shined delivering a high intense and hard hitting performance their fanbase Diadem would never forget. Rolling out from the backstage of Karma one by one members Arem, Iree, Yeongeun, Jayoung, and Hyunjung built anticipation and set up a perfect atmosphere to kick off their lively track “Re.Bold”, with a chorus of “hey’s” beginning to echo around the venue. 

Known for their high-energy live performances and blending of hard rock with glam metal, the crowd and Diadem’s energy were truly unmatched. The mutual love and passion for rock music as an entity carried the good vibes throughout the unforgettable night.

Between the distinct styling tailored to each member’s aesthetic and the effortless command they showed over their respective instrument, from vocals to drums, the crowd never quite knew where to look at any given second. 

While performing their hits from “Fearless” to “Blaze” fans could also hear another familiar tune about halfway into the show as the

alluring tune of “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen received an exceptional rendition despite the pressure the group mentioned to do the iconic song justice. 

Other renditions such as “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes and “Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zepagain showed the group’s true heart to rock at its core. 

Rolling Quartz’s love for music and their fans was evident, from the burning passion as they leaped to the platform’s on stage, to the familiarity with Diadem’s as they chatted jokingly throughout the night. During individual speeches the cheers resounded as the love for each member was shown. Even in breaks as lead vocalist Jayoung encouraged the crowd to sing along boys vs girls, the band reassured the crowd that it was okay to not be able to sing as they bellowed out their best note (to the best of their ability). 

As they rocked out to their song “Sing Your Heart Out” the group was drowned in praise as “encore rolling” “encore quartz” was screamed throughout the entire venue after the members walked off stage. 

Ending the night with their heartfelt tune “Romantist” for a tear-jerking encore, the beautiful sounds of the piano rolled in as flashlights turned on.  As the last string of the guitar was strummed, Rolling Quartz and Diadem’s closed out a rocking night they both would remember forever.
